About GCT :
GCT situated on famous College Road and in academically prolific area of Faisalabad was established as Govt. Polytechnic Institute in 1966 keeping in view the future globalization through Science & Information Technology. Later on it was upgraded as Govt. College of Technology Samanabad, Faisalabad in 1981. The prime objective of the establishment of this college was to meet the demand of field Engineers/ technologists and Technicians for growing industry in the region. The college is under administrative control of TEVTA (Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority), Govt. of the Punjab.it is affilated with University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore for B.Sc Electrical Engineering Technology Degree Program and registered with Punjab Board of Technical Education Lahore for DAE and T.T.B (Trade Testing Board), NAVTEC for other cerifications. It is also a sign of great trust that the college has been selected as the center for the conduct of CSS examinations since 2011 cosecutively and the appreciation letter issued by the Exam Authority admires the quality management and systematic administratuion of the college in providing all the required services in this regard.
