Hangu (Pashto) is a district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The district takes its name from the town of Hangu, which is its administrative centre.The 1998 census counted a total population of 315,000. The major first language is Pashto, spoken natively by 98.8% of the population.Hangu District was created from part of Kohat on 30 June 1996. Its area starts from a village named Khawaja Khizer (Jawzara), which is the boundary between Kohat and Hangu Districts.Welcome District Judiciary, Hangu. The District Judiciary upholds a free fair and an effective legal system, which supports and influent the rule of law and protects human rights.Courts started functioning in Hangu on 28-11-1962. The first District Session Judge was posted in 2002. District Courts Hangu is surrounded by the Samana Range and is located on Hangu Main Kohat Road. It consists of 5 Courts and 1 Tehsil Court in Tehsil Thall. There is District Bar association which consists of 25 to 30 members. District Courts Hangu has a staff of 85 members.
